Monthly News and Prayer Update: November 06, 2008   

HOME

1.          We have to praise God for what He has done in the past month.  Our trip to Washington DC and Maryland during the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend (Oct 10-13) was a very fruitful and memorable one!  The Green Love「嫩愛」revival-evangelistic meetings were held in 2 churches by our Immanuel Worshippers.  Including the workshops and Sunday service, we have reached a total of 547 people: 8 accepted Christ, 80% rededicated their lives, and 23 committed to serve God full time.  We pray that God will continue to bless all the churches in the area as well as the people who responded to His love.

2.          Please continue to remember the Green Love「嫩愛」 program as we will hold 2 meetings with this theme in Toronto:

                            i.          加略山證道浸信會—December 12 (Friday @ 7:30pm);

                          ii.          證道浸信會（美麗徑堂）—December 14 (Sunday @ 7:30pm).

†          Please remember our speaker, Rev. Joseph S.K. Wong（黃修健牧師）, for his message;

†          Please pray for the churches and volunteers that are involved in coordinating and planning the logistics;

†         Please remember the mass choir as there are about 30 people from these 2 churches joining our Immanuel Worshippers choir for these 2 events.

3.          We thank God for His presence with every one of us in the worship team workshop on November 1 at 加拿大華人基督教禮賢會 (Rhenish Church of Canada in Toronto).  There were 20 participants and 5 of them committed to serve God full time at the end of the workshop.  We pray that God will continue to guide this church and their hearts to witness for Christ!

4.          Our activities in November and December:

• Nov 15 ~ 福音茶座：7:30pm @ 士嘉堡華人浸信會

• Dec 5 ~ 「合神心意的敬拜」講座：8pm @ 證道浸信會(美麗徑堂) 加利利團

• Dec 22 ~ Volunteers Christmas Dinner

We thank God for giving us the opportunities to serve in different settings.  Please pray for Alfred Au as he will be the speaker of the events on December 5.  Please also remember the outreach event on November 15 that God will touch the souls of many who will attend.

5.    Our annual choir recruitment which will start at the end of the year.  We pray that we can learn and experience God together.  (Click here for the application form)

6.    Please continue to pray for the development of the following ministries:

• The development of our new website which is in its final stages;

• Mandarin Ministry targeted for Mainland Chinese people in North America;

• 「活祭事工」 Living Sacrifice Ministry—an online support group ministry targeted to provide mutual support to Christians committed to serve full-time;

• Immanuel Worshippers Resource Centre—an online resource centre for churches.
